CMA members now have the added benefit of using the mydoctor.ca Health Portal, an interactive and secure site, as part of their membership. Learn how you, your staff and your patients can take an active role in monitoring and managing their chronic conditions.

Allowing patients to record their readings from home provides physicians with a more comprehensive data set to determine the best course of treatment. Patients certainly benefit as well, as they can gain a better understanding of the impact of their lifestyle on their chronic conditions by reviewing their data in an easy-to-read graph format.

This tool will help you save time, reduce your risk by eliminating unsecured email and engage patients in their recovery and management of their conditions.

Remember, there is no cost for members of the CMA to acquire their user licence. Simply login to cma.ca and use the resources. A non-CMA member can purchase a one year license by clicking the "Subscribe" button. The usual annual fee is $360 and provides a one-year license.

Although CMA members themselves and their staff are not required to purchase a physician license, please note that all patients who are invited into the portal by their physician will continue to purchase a Health Portal user license from MD Physician Services for $19.95/year. Physicians have the option of adding an uninsured services fee to the patient subscription, which MD Physician Services will collect and remit to the physician.
