New alliance improves access to insurance coverage and financial planning for Canadian physicians

MD Physician Services has struck a strategic alliance with eight provincial medical associations, to enhance the way physicians’ insurance and wealth management needs are serviced in Canada.

The alliance will make access to financial planning and insurance coverage better and more convenient for physicians and their families who are clients of MD Physician Services (MD), members of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and/or members of the following provincial medical associations:

Together, the alliance encompasses more than 200 years of combined expertise in providing insurance and wealth management advice and solutions designed exclusively for physicians and their family members.

The alliance reflects a collective commitment to acting in the best interests of physicians and helping them realize their financial vision—and already, it is delivering real benefits to physicians across Canada. The five Eastern provinces have worked together to create a competitive, flexible and cost-effective Flex-Term life insurance plan. Moreover, in the three Western provinces, a newly expanded term life insurance plan will soon offer significant improvements, including reduced premiums.

Over time, many more physicians will benefit from the alliance in many ways including access to more competitive and cost-effective advice and solutions, and improved financial security and peace of mind.
